Ski Areas Andorra

The small nation of Andorra can't trump with many ski areas, but can certainly hold the pace with the neighbouring countries. Various small ski areas have grown into two large ski centres in Andorra. With 215 kilometres of piste, Grandvalira is very convincing as the largest European ski area outside the Alps.

The second ski area, Vallnord, is a fusion of Ordino-Arcalis and Pal-Arsinal, and offers ski enjoyment on around 91 kilometres of piste. While the resorts are rather characteristic tourist villages, the slopes are excellently maintained and are among the most modern in the world.

Après ski Andorra

Although small, Andorra offers an astonishing number of après-ski options. Soldeu, Pas de la Casa, Canillo and Encamp in particular have countless bars, pubs, nightclubs and discos. Those who don't want to spend their days on the slopes can shop to their heart's content. Andorra is a duty-free zone, which is particularly noticeable in the prices of spirits, tobacco and cosmetics.

If you have a whole day to spare, don't miss the "Caldea" in Andorra-la-Vella, Europe's largest spa and spa facility. A motorised or dog sled excursion promises a touch of adventure. A balloon ride is also an unforgettable experience. Other possible activities away from the slopes include ice skating, bowling, tennis and snowshoeing. Of course, Andorra also has plenty to offer in terms of culinary delights. In addition to the old traditional mountain houses, the "bordas", where typical local dishes are served, Andorra has numerous restaurants serving both local and international cuisine.
