Ski area Christlum

The "Christlum" ski area (950 - 1,800 m) offers the most kilometres of piste in the Achensee region with 27 kilometres. A total of 10 lift systems ensure a comfortable ascent. Varied pistes from wide carving runs to tricky mogul pistes guarantee fun in the snow for the whole family.

At 4 km, the descent to the valley is the longest piste in the ski area and the entire region. Those looking for an adrenaline kick should not miss the Gföllalmgraben descent with a length of 2 km and an altitude difference of 500 metres. Snowboarders also get their money's worth in the Christlum ski area thanks to the boardercross, half-pipe and freestyle jumps.

At the mountain station of the Christlum Express, the ski kindergarten awaits the piste stars of tomorrow. The ski area is characterised by a high reliability of snow, with 100 per cent of the pistes covered in artificial snow. Those who appreciate the freedom of deep snow skiing will find countless opportunities for ski tours in the Achensee region, especially in the Karwendel and Rofan mountains.

Internet junkies won't miss out in the region around Lake Achensee either: with the guest card, you can quickly and easily log into the free Wi-Fi network. The hotspots at the Karwendel lifts not only provide quick information about skiing, but also serve as a connection to your house.

Après ski Christlum

What sets the region around Lake Achensee apart from the après ski strongholds is its tranquillity and beautiful nature. The huts in the ski area with their sun terraces invite you to take a break, otherwise the days end in a cosy and enjoyable way. A typical Tyrolean evening can be enjoyed with exquisite food and drink, music, entertainment and concerts.

Those who still don't want to miss out on the atmosphere can plunge into the après ski hustle and bustle in the "Salettl Bar" at the Christlum valley station and in the newly designed "Christlum Lounge" with umbrella bar.

For those who want to stay active after a day of skiing, there are numerous varied winter hiking trails around Lake Achensee and its villages, and five natural toboggan runs in the region provide plenty of action into the evening hours. Trend sports are also a focus in Achenkirch: there is a snowtubing trail and a licensed snowkite school.
