Annaberg im Lammertal

The charming village of Annaberg in the Lammertal valley lies at 778 metres above sea level in the heart of the Dachstein West region. Surrounded by impressive mountain panoramas, Annaberg offers a wide range of leisure activities in winter: in addition to perfectly groomed slopes for all levels, guests can enjoy activities such as cross-country skiing, ice skating, tobogganing, snowshoeing and romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides. In Annaberg, there is plenty to discover for families of all ages!

The region is also an ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area: the historic town of Bad Ischl, known as the "imperial city", or Salzburg, about 60 km away, with its numerous sights, are within easy reach.

Dachstein West

The Dachstein West ski region stretches across the border between Upper Austria and the Salzburg region and is particularly popular with families and leisure skiers. With a total of 51 kilometres spread across the resorts of Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg, and as much as 160 kilometres of slopes in the lift pass network, the region offers varied runs for all levels and plenty of highlights for the whole family. The 44 km long Dachstein Tour ski circuit connects the three villages and offers a unique skiing experience with impressive mountain panoramas.

For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, there is a well-developed network of trails that extends across several villages in the region. Away from the slopes, numerous ski huts invite you to stop for a bite to eat and offer regional specialities in a cosy atmosphere.
