Cross-country East Tyrol

In East Tyrol, cross-country skiing enthusiasts can enjoy around 400 km of perfectly groomed trails that lead through wide valleys, snow-covered forests and impressive mountain scenery. The diverse network of trails in the Lienz Dolomites is particularly appealing, offering suitable routes for both beginners and ambitious athletes – classic or skating, from leisurely flat to challenging, during the day as well as on night trails. At altitudes between around 700 and 2,000 m, cross-country skiers can enjoy an intense experience of nature and ideal conditions. One of the top destinations for all Nordic sports fans is the cross-country skiing and biathlon centre in Obertilliach with its trails and biathlon shooting range, which is considered the central meeting place for the cross-country skiing scene in East Tyrol.
