Fans of Nordic skiing will certainly not be bored in the Mölltal either. Numerous cross-country ski trails of various degrees of difficulty are just waiting to be used.
From Flattach, the longest, but manageable, cross-country ski trail in the Mölltal (approx. 8 km) leads to the Gössnitz Lake. Around Mallnitz, approx. 14 km away, there is a network of 25 km of trails. Additionally, Obervellach offers a total of 20 km and on the Mölltal glacier cross-country skiers will find 2.5 km of trails. However, here you will need a ticket for the mountain railway.
Particularly attractive are the two high-altitude trails "Jamnigalm" and the "Mölltaler Gletscherloipe", which, thanks to their altitude at approx. 2,000 m, are still very easy to ski even when the snow has already melted in the valley.
The Mölltal cross-country ski trail network has been awarded the cross-country ski trail seal of approval.
