At 1,423 m, Gargellen is the highest winter sports resort in the Montafon region and is characterised by a skiing area up to 2,300 m above sea level that promises winter fun with a high level of snow reliability and breathtaking views. Montafon

The 39 km long Montafon Alpine valley in Vorarlberg is characterised in particular by small, traditional villages and a very conscious approach to the abundant natural monuments of the impressive mountain world. To preserve nature and local traditions, the "bewusstmontafon" association was even founded, whose logo identifies locally produced food. The quiet resorts in the unspoilt valley offer ideal retreats away from tourist centres and, in addition to several attractive ski areas, offer a wealth of leisure activities such as winter and snowshoe hiking, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and ice skating.
