Golling

The market town of Golling is located just outside the Mozart city of Salzburg and is nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Alps. The town's landmark is Golling Castle, which is situated on a rocky hill and houses a museum about the history of the town and the castle itself within its ancient, venerable walls. Dachstein West

The Dachstein West ski region stretches across the border between Upper Austria and the Salzburg region and is particularly popular with families and leisure skiers. With a total of 51 kilometres spread across the resorts of Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg, and as much as 160 kilometres of slopes in the lift pass network, the region offers varied runs for all levels and plenty of highlights for the whole family. The 44 km long Dachstein Tour ski circuit connects the three villages and offers a unique skiing experience with impressive mountain panoramas.

For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, there is a well-developed network of trails that extends across several villages in the region. Away from the slopes, numerous ski huts invite you to stop for a bite to eat and offer regional specialities in a cosy atmosphere.
