The idyllic and hospitable village of Igls is located at an altitude of around 870 metres at the foot of Innsbruck's local mountain, the Patscherkofel, and in close proximity to the city of Innsbruck. Among other things, you can explore the Olympic bobsleigh run or the famous "Bergisel" ski jump (approx. 3 km away). As the venue for the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics, the ski resorts enjoy a first-class international reputation. In addition to a multitude of sights in Innsbruck itself, the surrounding area also has a lot to offer. For example, the pilgrimage church of St. Peter and St. Paul is a special feature with its architecture and acoustics. An alternative destination is Ambras Castle, which is located above Innsbruck and is one of the most famous sights in the provincial capital.
