The region Kaiserwinkl can hardly be compared to any other when it comes to cross-country skiing: the trail network between Walchsee, Kösse, Rettenschöss and Schwendt amounts to approx. 240.5 km of classic and skating trails, which are maintained daily and have hence been awarded with the Tyrolean Cross-country trail Quality Seal. With views of the Wilder Kaiser and the Chiemgau Alps, you can glide along some of the best cross-country trails in Tyrol. Highlights of the region are the Nordic Centres in Kössen and Walchsee, as well as the "Kaiserwinklloipe" which connects Kössen, Walchsee and Schwendt with each other.
