Cross-country skiing fans get their money's worth in the region around Kirchbichl. Whether skating or classic, beginner or expert: enjoying and switching off in the natural Alpine landscape is particularly easy here. The Holiday Region Hohe Salve is also one of the top cross-country skiing regions in the country. It was awarded the cross-country skiing seal of approval by the Tyrolean state government.

There are around 148 kilometres of cross-country trails of all difficulty levels available throughout the region, including, for example, a trail on the sunny plateau in Itter with impressive views.
