150 km Cross-country trails (in km):
Throughout the Lungau region, you will find an extensive network of cross-country trails covering around 150 km, which leaves nothing to be desired. It is no coincidence that the Lungau region has been awarded the Austrian Cross-Country Skiing Seal of Quality for the excellent condition of its network of trails.
The 31 km long Murtal cross-country ski trail, one of the longest trails in the region, is particularly recommended for experienced cross-country skiers, but its easy level of difficulty also makes it ideal for beginners. The high-altitude trail, which leads from Mariapfarr via Grabendorf and Öser to Weißpriach, is somewhat more challenging. The Schönfeld-Rosanin high-altitude trails (1,730 m to 2,050 m) offer impressive views of the Lungau mountains.
There is a small fee for using some of the trails.
