Cross-country Ramsau am Dachstein

Ramsau is a true cross-country El Dorado! 220 km of trails, from which 125 km are classic trails and 95 km skating tracks, at an altitude up to 2,700 m offer something for every taste! There are flat circuits for beginners, strongly variable skating trails for the advanced, through to high-altitude trails where the world's elite meet.

Alongside the tracks there are over 40 huts and inns where you can stop for a refreshment on the way. The World Cup cross-country skiing stadium of the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 is in Ramsau, with a ski jump and floodlit trail. In the cross-country centre there is also a 4 km long night track which is illuminated from 21:00 in the evenings. The annual Ramsau fun run takes place on the 30 km long Dachstein trail. The highlight is the 18 km long glacial trail on the Dachstein Glacier at an altitude of 2,700 m (closed for the 23/24 season). For using the tails, a small fee applies.

Even the smallest cross-country skiers will feel at home in Ramsau: in the children's cross-country park there are descents and ascents with gates, jumps and obstacles to practise on, to get a better feeling for the Nordic ski sport.
