Ski holidays Schladming - diversity in the world class area of Ski amadé!

Schladming

From the magnificent backdrop of the Dachstein massif, in midst of the Schladming-Dachstein-Tauern region lies the popular resort Schladming, which was host to the Ski World Championship in 2013. The appearance of the resort centre is mainly dominated by small, old-fashioned buildings and many lively squares. Numerous shopping promenades, street cafés, guest houses, pubs and discos are to be found in the traditional resort buildings. From the centre of the resort it is only a few metres to the to the entry of the ski area Planai. Besides great pistes there is also a diverse offer of off-piste activities which will make the holiday unforgettable. Families are recommended to try the toboggan run or the activity pool in resort.

Schladming-Dachstein - Ski amadé

The popular and picturesque holiday region of Schladming-Dachstein is located in the north-west of Styria and offers fascinating views of the mountain panorama of the Ski amadé ski association. Numerous cosy villages are clustered around attractive ski areas that offer plenty of variety. Families with children in particular are in good hands here and will find great offers that promise a wonderful holiday. Winter sports enthusiasts are sure to love the varied slopes, FIS and World Cup runs, fun parks and freeride areas. In 1999, the Nordic World Ski Championships were held in the region – no wonder, given the excellent range of cross-country trails covering a total of 714 km. After an active day in the snow, you can finally get to know and love the typical Styrian cosiness in many rustic inns and bars.
