Cross-country St. Jakob im Defereggental

Cross-country trails in such beautiful, untouched surroundings can only be found in the Defereggental. In total there are 70 km of tracks available, divided into classic and skating style, in all levels of difficulty. The entire network takes you away from the roads and over snowy meadows and through forests. The trails area perfectly connected to each other, so that you can follow the "Schwarzach" river nearly through the entire valley. 42 km of cross-country trails await you in direct proximity of St. Jakob.

A high altitude trail named "Staller Sattel" offers powder snow and a great panorama view at an altitude of nearly 2,000 m. If you want to remain sporty in the evenings this track is also illuminated in the evenings - a real highlight! But also the trails in the valley, surrounded by various 3,000 metre mountains, offer a beautiful natural backdrop. And one of the best aspects - cross-country is possible until long into the spring and is therefore not limited to the winter months!
