Ski holidays Umhausen – Ski holiday in the middle of the Ötztal!
Umhausen
The quiet municipality of Umhausen is located in the middle of the Ötztal valley at an altitude of around 1,031 metres and is home to the Stuibenfall – the largest waterfall in Tyrol. To the east rise the Stubai Alps, while to the west of Umhausen lies the mighty massif of the Ötztal Alps. With the nearby "Niederthai" ski area and its manageable kilometres of slopes, the holiday resort offers an ideal introduction to snow fun for families with children and beginners. But advanced skiers also get their money's worth in the region, as the "Ötztaler Superskipass" gives them access to 5 additional ski areas with a total of 360 kilometres of slopes for complete skiing enjoyment.
Umhausen is particularly suitable as a destination for holidaymakers who are looking for peace and relaxation after a successful day of skiing. For those who want a little more hustle and bustle on a particular day, Sölden, for example, is only about 20 minutes away by car.
Ötztal
Few alpine valleys have as much to offer a guest as the Ötztal in Tyrol: kilometres of piste en masse and for all abilities, very modern lift systems, extensive cross-country tracks and around 250 mountains looming at 3000 m throughout the Ötztal Alps - skiers' pulses will certainly race! Additionally, there is an abundance of cleared winter hiking trails, rustic huts and in the evenings - depending on taste - an upbeat mood in the numerous discos and bars, a fun sledding party or night skiing. Quaint winter villages, the most prominent winter sports resorts, and not least the Aqua Dome in Längenfeld, which promises rest and relaxation - no wish is left unfulfilled!Travel Umhausen
