Cross-country Liberec

The trails around Liberec make up a renowned cross-country network, with the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships taking place here in 2013. The attractiveness of the trails in the region are mainly due to the Jizera Mountains, a great network for cross-country fans of all skill levels, and is home to a total of about 170 km of trails. The network can be accessed via 23 points, among which also include Liberec. Once entering the "cross-country highway", you'll find comfortable connections to further trails that can take you into the Giant Mountains and even into Poland.

A sporty Nordic highlight takes place annually in the 11 km distant Bedřichov. Here, the famous Jizerská padesátka starts in January. In this massive ski marathon, 5,000 hobby athletes and Nordic pros make their way along a 50 km long trail, which is also part of the Jizera Mountains
