The Mont Blanc region is great for cross-country skiing - surrounding Chamonix, there are e.g. approx. 20 km of trails in all levels of difficulty, nearby the resort centre of Megève you will even find approx. 45 km of trails. In the surrounding area of Chamonix the trails lead through the valley along the river Arve. Most of the sections are in quiet fir forests - ideal to switch off. The Cote 2000 routes are particularly attractive for experts.
