Ski area Serre Chevalier

The "Serre Chevalier" lift pass gives you access to 250 kilometres of piste (1,200 - 2,800 m) and 59 lift systems. From all four ski stations - Briançon, Chantemerle, Villeneuve - La-Salle-les-Alpes and Monêtier-les-Bains - you can easily reach the ski area using chair lifts and gondola lifts. The many steep slopes, especially near the summit, attract experts in particular - and incidentally also produce them: the region's most famous son is the former ski racer Luc Alphand. The black descent to the valley on the Casse du Boeuf to Villeneuve or the "Olympique" to Chantemerle are just two of the challenges that await in the area. There are also nine black, marked freeride pistes.

The pistes above Villeneuve, for example, will also satisfy beginners. You will find three beginner areas in the resort, one of which is located right by the valley station of the Aravet gondola. There is even a blue descent from the peak of Serre Chevalier down to the valley. The area near Villeneuve is also a true paradise for freestylers: You'll find all four Serre Chevalier snowparks here and can let off steam to your heart's content.

Night skiing Serre Chevalier

In the Serre Chevalier ski area, skiers can enjoy night skiing from two stations: From the Briançon station, you can take the gondola up and then ski back down the floodlit red Vauban descent. It runs along the lower section of the Prorel gondola. If you want to take a short break from night skiing, simply treat yourself to a drink or a meal in the Pra Long restaurant at the gondola station, which is also open for night skiing. From Briançon, night skiing is possible every day during the school holidays, always until 22:30. The T-bar lift at the Villeneuve station is also open during the school holidays. A green, approx. 0.6 km long floodlit piste leads down here. It is particularly suitable for beginners and families with children.

Après ski Serre Chevalier

La-Salle-les-Alpes is considered the little après ski mecca of Serre Chevalier. The largest bar in the village, "La Grotte", with its large sun terrace, is located directly at the foot of the pistes and is therefore perfect for your first stop. In the evening, the Place de l'Avaret becomes the centre of the action. This is where people meet up in the numerous bars and restaurants. But the "Yeti", the "Kitzbühel" and the "eXtreme Bar" in Chantemerle are also busy from the afternoon onwards. There are discos in La-Salle-les-Alpes and Chantemerle.

For those who prefer quieter restaurants with regional delicacies, the district of Le Bez in La Salle is the place to go. But you will also find numerous opportunities to indulge in regional specialities in the other villages in the valley. Or challenge your luck at the Briançon casino.

But Serre Chevalier also offers a comprehensive leisure programme for less party-loving holidaymakers, ranging from shopping and wellness to sporting activities. Skijouring, kite-skiing, snowshoeing, car rides on the bare ice, snowmobile tours - why not try something new? Of course, there are also toboggan runs and (partly floodlit) ice rinks. If the weather doesn't play ball, you can play indoor tennis, squash or laser games or go bowling.

For a more relaxed approach, take a dip in one of the indoor pools or head to the XXL "Grands Bains" thermal spa in Monêtier-les-Bains. Here you are sure to find relaxation after a long day on the piste - on a total of 4,500 m²!

Snowpark: snow park Serre Chevalier

The "Serre Chevalier" ski area is a real paradise for freestylers, who can have fun in four snowparks. Firstly, there is the snowpark at an altitude of 2,000 metres with four different areas and a cool zone to relax in. Beginners will find two lines with tables, boxes and rails. There is also an area for advanced and pros with different lines to let off steam.

There is also a boardercross with steep turns, the FunnyCross zone in a natural valley hollow and the MélèZone - a fun park whose modules are all made from local larch wood.
