Ski area Unternberg (Ruhpolding)
The "Unternberg" ski area is characterised above all by its family-friendliness and manageability. Three ski lifts take skiers up to an altitude of 1,417 metres. A total of 3 km of mostly easy and intermediate pistes and 4 km of ski routes await. Advanced skiers should tackle the descent from the Unternberg Alm, where a difference in altitude of 550 metres has to be overcome.
Just a few minutes' drive from Ruhpolding is the Winklmoos-Steinplatte ski area with around 20 km of perfectly groomed pistes.

Night skiing Unternberg (Ruhpolding)
Thanks to floodlights, night skiing is also possible in the Unternberg ski area near Ruhpolding. All skiers who can't get enough of winter sports during the day can let off steam on the piste at dusk or in the dark. The 1 km long floodlit piste is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4 and 8 pm, snow conditions permitting. It is located in the lower part of the ski area around the FIS lifts. As the piste has both blue and red sections, night skiers of all levels of expertise are in good hands here and can turn night into day.Après ski Unternberg (Ruhpolding)
In addition to skiing and cross-country skiing, there are numerous other activities on offer. For example, tobogganing on the natural track is great fun. Snowtubing is also a special experience.
Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can explore the idyllic surroundings on a walk or a horse-drawn sleigh ride. The various restaurants invite you to round off the day in a cosy atmosphere. With the "eXtra-Card" you also have free access to the ice rink or football golf at the Soccerpark Inzell.
