Ski area Brauneck - Lenggries/Wegscheid
The "Alpen Plus" ski pass gives you access to a total of 83 kilometres of pistes and 47 lifts. The kilometres of pistes are spread over 4 ski areas: Brauneck-Wegscheid, Wallberg, Spitzingsee-Tegernsee and Sudelfeld.
In Lenggries' home ski area "Brauneck-Wegscheid", you have the choice between 31 kilometres of pistes. The ski area is perfect for families, but experts will also find their area here. After all, the ski area has a World Cup course. Its infamous start slope at Garland is known for its bumps and is a challenge even for experienced skiers. Families prefer the 6 km long family run from the mountain station of the gondola lift down to Wegscheid.
In the 2019/20 season, another state-of-the-art lift system was inaugurated, the Schrödelsteinbahn, which replaced the ageing Finstermünz 2-seater chairlift. This made it possible to open up a part of the ski area that had previously been difficult to access, while at the same time safeguarding the existence of idyllic Alpine pastures. Brauneck now has 1 gondola lift, 4 chairlifts, 10 T-bar lifts and 21 groomed pistes: 3 easy, 14 intermediate and 4 difficult. Snowmaking has been extended to the Kapellenhang descent, which is also served by the new Schrödelstein cable car. This means that the entire descent of the beautiful sunny slope towards Finstermünzalm is now snow-sure and the snow-covered area in the entire ski area has been increased to 70%!
A highlight awaits the youngest winter sports fans: Youngsters can really let off steam in the "Villa Lustig". The children's area is 20,000 m² in size and even has its own snowmaking system. Just a few steps away from the central entrance to the ski area, children are introduced to skiing in a playful way. Incidentally, you can also learn under the guidance of a celebrity at Brauneck: Michi Gerg runs his own ski school here.

Night skiing Lenggries
At the Streidl lift in Lenggries there is a small, fine night skiing area. The popular night skiing takes place in the valley area of the Brauneck-Wegscheid ski resort on Fridays and Saturdays. At the foot of the Brauneck, a descent is illuminated with a dozen floodlights in the evening. The skiing fun can thus be extended during the additional operating hours from 7 pm to 10 pm. The blue piste, which is around 500 metres long, is gently undulating and easy to master, even for less experienced skiers and children. An anchor lift transports you to the start of the night ski piste. The rustic huts around the valley station invite you to stop off after skiing at night. The cosy ski huts in Lenggries are known above all for their culinary delights. And so it's not uncommon to go hut hopping in the ski area during the ski day. The best way to end the day here is with a good meal in one of the numerous restaurants.
If you're looking for a more varied nightlife, you can benefit from the town's central location. Take a trip to Bad Tölz, for example, which is only around 9 km away and has a number of bars. Or choose Munich (approx. 60 km), where you can spend an eventful evening.
Of course, excursions from Lenggries are also possible on non-skiing days or afternoons. For example, Benediktbeuren Monastery (approx. 23 km), Tegernsee (approx. 26 km), Innsbruck (approx. 85 km), Garmisch-Partenkirchen (approx. 58 km) or Andechs Monastery (approx. 75 km) are not far away.
For those who prefer to stay on site, there is of course an equally wide range of leisure activities on offer. Try out the two toboggan runs at Brauneck, for example. Or explore the surrounding area on one of the 42 kilometres of winter hiking trails - the panorama trail on the Brauneck offers a particularly beautiful view. If you're a little lazier or prefer a more romantic experience, you can choose a horse-drawn carriage as your mode of transport. Ice skaters get their money's worth in the natural ice rink directly at the valley station of the mountain railway. There are also 6 curling rinks at the Protestant forest church. For a more relaxing experience, head to the "Isarwelle" adventure pool or the "Isargrotte" sauna area.

Snowpark: MINI Snowpark Lenggries
There may not be a fun park in the Brauneck ski area, but with the "Alpen Plus" ski pass you can enjoy a real hotspot of the German freestyle scene: the "MINI Snowpark" on the north slope lift in the "Spitzingsee-Tegernsee" ski area. Snowboarders and freeskiers of all skill levels are offered an interesting and varied programme here: The obstacles include 6 to 8 kickers, 5 rails, 3 boxes, a wave run and several jib barrels. The music station with hut also ensures a good atmosphere away from the piste.
The "MINI Snowpark" is not one of the three best snowparks in Germany for no reason: professional snowboarder Konstantin "Konsti" Schad, for example, grew up at Spitzingsee and learnt to snowboard there.
