Ski area Hündle - Thalkirchdorf
The largest selection of pistes with 18 km can be found in the SkiArena Steibis and in the small interconnected ski areas between the Hündlekopf and Thalkirchdorf, also with 18 kilometres of piste. In both areas, easy and medium-difficulty pistes predominate. The wide, gentle and perfectly groomed slopes at Thalkirchdorf-Hündle in particular are ideal for children and beginners. Advanced skiers will find suitable pistes in Steibis or on the Hündle, for example the Hündle steep slope, which has already hosted women's World Cup races, or the descents on the Fluh and Bärenloch lifts in Steibis.
An insider tip for sporty skiers are the steep ski routes on the Hochgrat. The small ski area in Sinswang with its many practice lifts is particularly suitable for beginners and families with children.
Night skiing Hündle - Thalkirchdorf
Skiing in the German Allgäu is a pleasure - whether by day or by night. Night skiing is becoming increasingly popular and the range on offer is growing from year to year. Guests of the Oberstaufen ski region can also explore the pistes after sunset. In Thalkirchdorf, night owls will find the right address with the Schwandlift. The t-bar lift extends its operating hours every Friday from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm in time for the weekend. This means that the 800 metre-long piste is available to nocturnal winter sports enthusiasts for three hours after sunset. On a starry night, this experience is recommended for every ski and snowboard fan.Après ski Hündle - Thalkirchdorf
Those looking for action away from the pistes can enjoy a fast-paced toboggan run on the Imberg or on the six-kilometre-long run on the Hochgrat. You can also explore the landscape on one of the winter hiking trails - the "sporty" district of Steibis in particular has plenty to offer. The ice rink in the village centre is not just for ice skaters; Bavarian curling is also very popular here.
For those who prefer things a little quieter, the Aquaria adventure bath is the perfect place to relax those tired muscles. In addition to the 1,000 m² pool area, it also has a large sauna and spa area.
Snowpark Hündle - Thalkirchdorf: Almdudler Steibis Snowpark
The SkiArena Steibis offers you a family-friendly ski area and a snowpark with various obstacles for young and old. The "Almdudler Steibis Park" is located in the Bärenloch and can be reached via the Imbergbahn and Fuckskarlift. Three different lines welcome beginners and advanced riders alike and invite you to let your creativity run free with a total of 14 obstacles. There is also a new two-person kicker line with jumps for beginners and pros.
The "Easy Line" offers a perfect setup for beginners with various butter boxes, a downbox and a 3-metre jump, while the "Main Line" impresses with various rails, a wallride, a pole jam and a stair setup. The "kicker line" also offers rollers with a 5-metre table and pyro jump. The park's own Hohenegglift avoids long waiting times. If you want to take a break in between, the "Bärenstadl" at the park base offers fair prices and relaxed music that invites you to "meet and greet".
