Schönberg

Schönberg (500 to 700 m elevation) is located in the heart of the Bavarian Forest. This rural village is bordered by the border mountains to the north and the Danube ridge mountain range to the south. This setting and its location at the foot of the Kadernberg mountain give the town a particularly homely and idyllic feel. It is therefore the ideal destination for nature lovers. The unspoilt nature with extensive meadows and forests in the surrounding Bavarian Forest National Park is particularly impressive. Bavarian Forest

The Bavarian Forest is the largest forest landscape in Central Europe. In 1970, the Bavarian Forest National Park was founded here, which together with the Bohemian Forest forms the largest contiguous forest reserve in Central Europe. In addition to the Alps, winter sports are also very popular in this part of Germany.
