Ski holidays Schönberg - Relax naturally!
Schönberg
Schönberg (500 to 700 m elevation) is located in the heart of the Bavarian Forest. This rural village is bordered by the border mountains to the north and the Danube ridge mountain range to the south. This setting and its location at the foot of the Kadernberg mountain give the town a particularly homely and idyllic feel. It is therefore the ideal destination for nature lovers. The unspoilt nature with extensive meadows and forests in the surrounding Bavarian Forest National Park is particularly impressive. Its location in the border triangle of Germany, Austria and Czechia also offers visitors many excursion possibilities. A day trip to Prague is just one example of many. Schönberg has a lot to offer, not only in terms of landscape but also in terms of culture, with its impressive churches, small local chapels and impressive monuments. The individual, colourful design of the small houses gives the village a southern European flair.Bavarian Forest
The Bavarian Forest is the largest forest landscape in Central Europe. In 1970, the Bavarian Forest National Park was founded here, which together with the Bohemian Forest forms the largest contiguous forest reserve in Central Europe. In addition to the Alps, winter sports are also very popular in this part of Germany.Families in particular will find just the right activities in this area. Those who do not wish to explore the beautiful snow-covered landscape of the Bavarian Forest on skis can also take a romantic ride on a horse-drawn sleigh. It is also worth visiting the famous palaces, castles and monasteries of the Bavarian Forest. You should also check out the numerous restaurants and rustic huts offering both regional and international delicacies.
