The alpine region Spitzingsee-Tegernsee is located in Upper Bavaria approx. 1 km away form the federal state capital Munich. The viewpoint tower of the Taubenberg mountain offers a view of the pristine nature and the extensive ski area Spitzingsee-Tegernsee. Cross-country skiers will get their money's worth on the approx. 100 km of tracks, some of which are even illuminated at night. The snowy landscape can also be explored with horse sled rides or hikes on approx. 300 km of winter hiking trails.
