Ski holidays Cortina d'Ampezzo - Olympic pistes with international flair!

Cortina d'Ampezzo

The glamorous Dolomite village Cortina d'Ampezzo is situated in Venetia at an altitude of 1,211 m, and is dominated by the Dolomite peaks Tofana, Monte Cristallo and Sorapi that rises 3,000 m above the sky. The host of the 1956 Olympic winter games is known well outside the Italian borders for its gorgeous pistes and cross-country tracks, as well as for its unique flair.

After a great day skiing in the tracks of earlier Olympic champions, you can let the evening come to an end on the famous shopping mile "Corso Italia". Here you can stroll along with Italian celebrities! You can also enjoy the variety of eateries and specialities in resort, from nouvelle cuisine to pizzerias as well as mountain and pasture lodges, where you are served delicious plain fare.

Cadore

Cadore is a region with a varied landscape in the Bellunesi Dolomites that turns into a glittering white winter-wonderland during the cold season. The landscape is characterised by the jagged summits of the surrounding mountain rages of the Dolomites, which change from steep rock faces to densely wooded foothills.

The majestic Monte Antelao (3,264 m) oversees the region. At the foot of the second highest Dolomite summit after Marmolada, you can find several villages that are - characterised by an old history - conscious in tradition. The buildings, designed partly in Grand Architecture, impress with their Venetian style and have a majestic charm. The river Boite runs by the side valley. In the north-west it reaches a spacious, flat area which is home to the famous winter sports resort Cortine d'Ampezzo and attracts many winter sport fans.
