Ski area San Martino di Castrozza - Passo Rolle

The steep mountain peaks of the Pala Group stand like lined-up tin soldiers and form one of the most spectacular backdrops in the Dolomites. The 60 kilometres of piste are connected by a free ski bus.

The "San Martino di Castrozza" ski pass includes the pistes at Passo Rolle, Col Verde and the interconnected ski areas of Ces-Alpe Tognola near San Martino. From extensive beginner slopes (e.g. at Passo Rolle) to the black "Direttissima", there is something for everyone. In the Col Verde lift area, the long hours of sunshine and entertaining descent are also impressive. From Punta Ces and Col Verde, descent to the valley leads right into the village. In the 2018/2019 winter season, the new "Colbricon Express" gondola lift will also replace two old chair lifts, providing even more comfort in the ski area.

Snowboarders will also get their money's worth: In the snowparks with quarter-pipe, boardercross, tables, slides and jumps at Alpe Tognola or at Rollepass. For even more skiing fun, the lift pass can be upgraded to "Dolomiti Superski" - with access to an incredible 1,200 kilometres of pistes and 450 lifts!

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.5 per mille or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.

Après ski San Martino di Castrozza - Passo Rolle

In San Martino di Castrozza, the days usually come to a cosy end. In the Rifugio Tognola, a DJ entertains guests with suitable music while others marvel at the setting sun. Nevertheless, discos, piano bars and beer and wine bars offer variety well into the night. Popular meeting places in the town are the "Enoteca da Renzo" or "Lo Sfizio". You can enjoy delicious Trentino specialities such as cheese, wine, mushroom dishes, fried sausage, polenta and of course pizza in all variations.

Sports enthusiasts can pursue their hobby on the tennis, volleyball and basketball courts or in the fitness centre. If you still haven't had enough of the snow after skiing, we recommend a snowshoe tour or a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the idyllic landscape.

Snowpark San Martino di Castrozza - Passo Rolle: San Martino Snowpark

The San Martino Snowpark runs approx. one kilometre along the Scandola piste and has its own 3-seater chair lift. The park, which offers all-day sunshine, is therefore perfectly accessible. A total of 40 obstacles, divided into the categories "Easy", "Medium" and "Large", await freestyle beginners and pros. There is also a jib area and a boardercross. Nothing is left to be desired here! It's no coincidence that the San Martino Snowpark is one of the five Burton Progression Parks in Europe and the venue for numerous events and contests.

For even more variety, you can head to the Rolle Railz Park at Passo Rolle, around nine kilometres away. The 800-metre-long facility offers numerous boxes, kickers and jumps as well as a fantastic view of the picturesque backdrop of the Pala Group.
