Ski area Val di Fiemme-Obereggen
Beginners should ideally start off on the southern slopes of Alpe Luisa. Pros however, can try themselves on the steep descent of the Olympia on the Alpe Cermis, just above Calvalese - from here you come speeding down 7.5 km towards the valley, covering a difference of altitude of 1,390 m.
Freestylers will find a few snow parks, e.g. at the Ski Center Latemar with rails, boxes, jumps, a half-pipe and much more. Also freeriders will feel right at home in this winter sports paradise! And to top it all, there is also a complimentary ski bus which commutes between all the resorts and ski areas.
The combined lift "Laner" with 6-person chairlift and 8-person cabin lift at Ski Center Latemar opened in the 16/17 winter season. It also gives you easy access to the new, approx. 750 m long toboggan run. A new mountain hut made of wood and glass with panoramic terrace and bar also opened at the Oberholz lift in December 2016 and invites you to take a break. In Alpe Cermis the children's area "Cermislandia" has toboggan run and a "Tubbybahn" as well as a practice area for the ski school. After a long day on skis you can warm up and make yourself comfortable at the modern lounge-bar "La Baita Tonda".
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.Night skiing Tesero
In the area around Tesero skiers can also use the illuminated pistes at night. The ski area Obereggen offers a 2.5 km piste, which can be used with a toboggan at night, and also a 1.5 km piste for night skiing. For the ones seeking an adrenaline rush, there are six obstacles in the fully lighted Night-Snowpark. The night skiing area lives up to its name and opens up its floodlit pistes three nights a week. Also the ski area Alpe Cermis offers an opportunity for night skiing - once a week you can keep your equipment on for an extended period. On a total of 2.4 km of pistes you are able go skiing until late at night. If you own a multi-day lift pass Val di Fiemme-Obereggen, there is no additional charge for night skiing in both areas.Après ski Tesero
During the day, nearly all resorts offer all activities such as tobogganing, snow-tubing or winter hikes. Ice skating fans can head to the rink in Cavales or Lago di Tesero. Starting in winter 16/17 you can reach the new, approx. 750 m toboggan run that runs from the Almgasthaus Epircher-Laner down to the valley station of the Absam-Maierl charlift with the combined lift "Laner" in Latemar. A total of 9 toboggan runs can be found in the Eggen valley, e.g. the 2.5 km floodlit piste in the Obereggen ski area. In the neighbouring resort Predazzo there is an indoor pool suitable for the whole family. Furthermore the Alpine Coaster awaits toboggan fans, where you can reach speeds up to 40 km/h!
