The region 3 Zinnen Dolomites is a real cross-country paradise with altogether more than 200 km of well-prepared trails, being a part of the world's biggest cross-country network "Dolomiti Nordicski" (which has altogether 1,300 km of trails).
As a location of international world cup races, Dobbiaco has approx. 112 km of perfectly prepared cross-country trails at all levels of difficulty. Some of the trails offer unique views over the Dolomite mountain landscapes. Another scenic trail takes you to Lake Dobbiaco. The modern Nordic Arena, which offers services like cross-country lessons and public showers, is the start of several demanding circular courses at a length of 2.5 to 10 km which are used as training courses by professional cross-country skiers.
Those who still haven't had enough after a long day of cross-country skiing can also give night cross-country skiing a shot. The approx. 2.3 km long Dobbiaco night trail and the approx. 1.2 km long Waldheim circular trail in Sesto are ideal for this.
