Cross-country Valle Isarco

The Eisack Valley enjoys an excellent reputation among cross-country skiers as the "Valley of Trails" with its incredible 240 km of cross-country trails. Here, at the foot of the Dolomites, the snow-covered natural landscape is ideally combined with sporting challenges. Around the towns of Brixen, Feldthurns, Meransen, Mühlbach in the Puster Valley and Villanders, you can ski on a wide variety of trails of varying degrees of difficulty and length. Advanced skiers and those looking for a challenge will find what they are looking for on the 8 km high-altitude trail at Würzjoch, at an altitude of up to 2,050 m. The trail covers an altitude difference of 300 m. But there is also plenty to explore for leisurely cross-country skiers: the panoramic trails above the municipality of Villanders at the Gasserhütte or the 16 km long circuit near Meransen are suitable for less experienced skiers. Along the cross-country trails, countless huts and alpine pastures provide refreshments in a cosy South Tyrolean atmosphere.
