In the Gerlos Valley, a quiet side valley of the Zillertal, there are some fantastic cross-country skiing trails for all skill levels around the Zillertal Arena. The easy to moderately difficult trails near Gerlos are ideal for beginners and leisure skiers. Demanding Nordic athletes can enjoy the high-altitude trails on the Gerlossteinplatte, in Hochkrimml and in the Königsleiten ski area, which are located at an altitude of over 2,000 metres. There is also a floodlit circular trail in the Wald district. The Zillertal Arena trail network connects to the approximately 30 km of trails near Mayrhofen at Zell am Ziller. This gives Nordic athletes access to a large cross-country skiing area with varying levels of difficulty and fantastic panoramic views.
