Cross-country skiers also get their money's worth in Imst. With around 40 kilometres of trails in and around the town, there is something for everyone. The easy 2.5-kilometre-long Hoch Imst cross-country trail is a good place to start. It ensures safe skiing fun throughout the winter, as a section of 1.5 kilometres is artificially snow-covered. The approximately six-kilometre-long Teilwiesen cross-country trail of medium difficulty leads through a forest whose powder snow-covered treetops make every winter dream come true.
The longest cross-country trail is the Gurgltal trail with 25 kilometres. Particularly practical: every Wednesday you can train on the floodlit cross-country trail Hoch Imst free of charge until the evening hours and enjoy the snow-covered winter landscape under the lights.
