20 km Cross-country trails (in km):
There are 20 km of cross-country trails in Obervellach alone - with beautiful trails along the river Möll. No fee will be charged for cross-country skiing. Of course, cross-country skiers will also find trails in other resorts in Mölltal valley.
The longest cross-country ski trail in the Mölltal (approx. 8 km) leads you from Flattach to the Gössnitz Lake. This skiing route is also suitable for beginners. Around Mallnitz there is a network of 25 km of cross-country trails. Additionally, at the Mölltal glacier you will find 2.5 km of trails, for which you need a mountain railway ticket. Particularly attractive are the two high-altitude trails "Jamnigalm" and the Mölltal glacier trail, which can, thanks to their altitude at around 2,000 m, still be used even when the snow has already melted in the valley.
The cross-country network of the Mölltal has been awarded with the cross-country quality seal.
