Each of the villages in the Zillertal has its own cross-country trails. This results in a total network of approx. 125 km in length. Around Hintertux you will find around 28 km of well-groomed cross-country ski trails, some of which are also skating style.
The longest cross-country trail, the Luggi-Gredler trail, is 14 km long and leads from Tux-Vorderlanersbach to Madseit. Due to its altitude of 1,300 m to 1,450 m, it is still passable when it is already thawing elsewhere. The shuttle between Mayrhofen and Hintertux can be used free of charge on presentation of the Tux-Finkenberg ticket.
