Ski holidays Bodenmais - fun in the snow & wonderful winter landscapes!
Bodenmais
The climatic spa resort Bodenmais is situated in midst of the Bavarian Forest at approx. 689 m altitude, directly at the foot of the "Großer Arber", with 1,456 m the highest mountain in Bavaria outside the Alpine region. The history of mining dominates the resort. As early as the 15th century the area was well-known for silver mining. Later on the first glass factories appeared. During the past decades, Bodenmais has developed to become Germany's largest glass refining centre and offers besides many glass-blowing factories also the largest selection of lead crystal. But also tourism plays a great role in the area. There is a huge selection of winter hiking trails, some ski and toboggan runs, as well as a largely extended cross-country trail. The Bavarian Forest's landscape will fascinate you!Bavarian Forest
