Ski area Grächen
On arrival at the top, a true children's paradise awaits. Families and beginners will feel right at home on the easy slopes of the Hannigalp. In the SiSu family park right next to the crèche, beginners will find four magic carpets, two children's ski lifts and several practice slopes for a fulfilling day's skiing. The mascot, SiSu the snowbird, is always there. SiSu invites you to a children's cinema in his igloo, on the snow tubing track or on the ski carousel. In the "SiSu's play and sleep nest" crèche at the mountain station, children from the age of 2 are looked after for up to 2 hours so that parents can take a cosy break. But that's not all. For the braver kids, the Family Funslope with boxes, jumps, steep turns and a snail provides additional fun. There is also a Skimovie course where young and old can try their hand at skiing. The entire ride is recorded and can be watched afterwards. After letting off steam or enjoying carving, the whole family can make a detour to the Hannigalp family mountain restaurant with its indoor play paradise "SiSu Wolkenland".
In addition to all the kids' services, there is also plenty for experts. With a 2 km long black descent to the Bärgji hut, the Hannigalp caters to the piste cracks. Apart from the children's mountain, the Seetalhorn (2,868 m) offers a more challenging section of the area with exclusively red descents. The four-seater chairlift takes you over to the neighbouring mountain, from where the red pistes provide a certain thrill for ski cracks.
Après ski Grächen
Grächen also has sporting delicacies in store for families off the piste. In the Grächen sports centre, children can let off steam in the huge indoor play park on the bouncy castle and co. while their parents try their hand at the climbing wall or play badminton. A round of ice skating on the natural ice rink is a must for the whole family. Finally, families can round off the day in Grächen in a cosy atmosphere. The children are tired after an exciting day's skiing and the parents are looking for some peace and quiet. They will find it at dinner in the cosy restaurants with raclette, fondue and co. or while swimming laps and relaxing in the St. Nikolaus swimming pool.
However, there's plenty going on in the evenings in the small village of Grächen, so party animals will also get their money's worth. The first (and last) glasses of beer can be raised in various après ski bars both in the ski area and in the village. Cocktails, wine, snacks, party music - everything is catered for. At the very late hour, night owls can drop by Sigi's bar. The modern yet rustic location is always in a party mood.
Snowpark Grächen: Funslope Grächen
In Grächen, everything is designed with youngsters in mind. Even the Funslope is primarily tailored to children with boxes, jumps, steep turns and a snail. Freeriders who prefer an adult version can head to the snowpark in Zermatt, about an hour away. The journey is worth it, as the "Snowpark Zermatt" offers everything that experienced freestylers and semi-pros could wish for.
