Ski holidays Interlaken - heart of the Jungfrau region!

Interlaken

The well-known town of Interlaken is situated in a unique location between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and is considered the "gateway to the Jungfrau". The holiday and conference resort is located in the heart of the Bernese Oberland. At an altitude of 568 metres, Interlaken is surrounded by the world-famous backdrop of the mighty three- and four-thousand-metre peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. With a valid ski, hiking or toboggan pass and a completed guest card, you can use the free ski buses that run to the valley stations of the nearby ski areas. This makes Interlaken the ideal starting point for the "Jungfrau Ski Region"! But even away from the slopes, you won't get bored: bars, discos, restaurants, sports and cultural facilities – Interlaken offers the best conditions for a varied holiday. For example, enjoy tobogganing on one of the longest toboggan runs in Europe or skydiving against the backdrop of the impressive mountain range.

Jungfrau Region

The Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains, with the famous Eiger North Face, are the hallmark of the Jungfrau Region. Located in the heart of the Bernese Oberland, the area stretches from Interlaken to the peaks of the Jungfrau massif. An impressive mountain panorama and crystal-clear lakes attract thousands of tourists to the famous holiday resorts every year.
The region is home to several treasures, such as the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn, with the longest ice stream in the Alps (22 km), which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Equally famous is probably the Piz Gloria restaurant on the Schilthorn (2,970 m), which served as the backdrop for the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The Top of Europe is the highest railway station in Europe, located at an altitude of 3,454 m. The Jungfrau Region is considered an Eldorado, especially for winter sports fans.
