Saas Grund

Nestled in the Saas Valley, Saas-Grund (1,559 m) is the quieter version of Saas-Fee, three kilometres away. The village has retained its Valais charm to this day. The wide range of entertainment options ensures that there is never a dull moment. Whether it's sport, culture or partying – there is something for everyone in Saas-Grund. Ski and snowboard enthusiasts in particular appreciate the village's two gondolas, which take them directly to the sun-drenched glacier ski area. Don't miss the 11-kilometre-long toboggan run, which promises pure fun.

Saastal

Surrounded by 18 four-thousand-metre peaks, the panorama of the Saas Valley is absolutely breathtaking! The lifts reach up to 3,573 metres and open up a panorama of 146 kilometres of slopes of all levels of difficulty. The famous "Metro Alpin", the highest underground funicular railway in the world, takes you under the glacier to Mittelallalin, where a magnificent mountain backdrop awaits you. The ski area is also extremely attractive for international guests, as it is home to the Allalin Race, for example. Held at the end of the season, it is the longest downhill race in the world, from 3,573 m down to the village at 1,800 m!

The four villages at the foot of the slopes are well connected by bus, so you can make the most of your day's skiing. Each village has its own unique charm: there are family-friendly, down-to-earth villages with cosy houses in the Valais chalet style, as well as villages characterised by lively après-ski. You're sure to find plenty of variety here!
